i wonder how a dishdasha would look with a tie and if anyone's tried it before? it crossed my mind today and i thought WOW! great idea.. maybe i could start a new trend... or maybe i'd get slapped! who knows it could look cool and maybe i could start a new fashion company much like giorgio did with his now iconic suit that he introduced three decades ago! or at least i might get a mention in some tabloid... questions questions questions

why does discrimination exist?
selfish desires
result in boundaries
borne of impotence
to protect something we don't have: our pride

what keeps you up at night?
so what keeps you up? is it:
(a) nuclear fallout from iran
(b) some other fallout in your bedroom
(c) those refried beans you ate
(d) something more sinister
the best answer wins my admiration.

nature or nurture - reprise
intelligence. the elusive, hard to define trait/skill that keeps men in a constant state of connivance. its hard not to let that thought creep in every once in a while: is she intelligent or has just been told to say that? could she come up with an original idea if her life depended on it?
something to think about.

lost letter literacy...
why is it that people have forgotten the noble art of writing? is it so hard to expect a thoughtful letter every once in a while? email dialogue is fine but it seems that in this world of instant synchronous communication everyone is having a written phonecall with everyone else such that no one is left to sit, think, ponder, write....
writing has been the primary disseminator and preserver of knowledge over the last few centuries and has changed little much. it is the worthy successor of the oral tradition and will continue to be important even in the coming age of ESP (natural or artificial). i suggest a global movement to encourage thoughtful writing ('The Thoughtful Writers Club'?).
after that's taken care of we can then look at the proper grammar and syntax problem...

arabic thesaurus???
could it be that the concept of a "thesaurus" doesn't exist in the arabic language? how can we pepper our lanaguage and writing with interesting words if we don't have a ready reference?
i find this rather hard to beleive and think it may be a bit of an obscure detail given the rather low priority given to the literary arts in the arabic world. can someone help us find it?

480-pound woman dies after six years on couch here's the question - was there a social responsibility to save her? and could anyone have saved her or should she fend for herself?
if we could teleport....
this comes to my mind as i endure the x-ray line at the airport... when will scotty beam us up? imagine if we could get to anywhere in the world in less than it takes to think about it! well the airlines would definitely be out of business - something most people would welcome...
nothing can ever be ruled out.... someone said about a hundred years ago with the discovery of electricity or something that "science is dead - there is no more to know for man has discovered everything"... and of course that statement did not foresee the splitting of the atom, the discovery of DNA and even going beyond the atom and the electron!
